Is supporting a president who violates the Constitution a show of love for America?
Is supporting racist and anti- immigrant policies a show of love and respect for the Constitution?
Is support of a party that practices election interference tactics a sign of love for the American democracy?
Is supporting a president who aligns himself with dictators over allies a sign of loving America?
Is supporting a president who starts an illegal, unnecessary war a sign of love for America?
Is redefining America as a White Christian Nationalist country (and disparaging all others) a sign of love and support of the Founding Fathers declaration that ” all men are created equal?”
Is staying silent when Americans are murdered, abused, and denied their rights by a president’s personal militia a sign of living America?
Is retaining power and self- enrichment at the expense of the rule of law a show of love for America?
Is lying about the mental stability of a president who is clearly disordered a show of love for America?
Americans who answer “yes” to these questions do not love the America created by the Founding Fathers. No matter how much spin Donald Trump puts on what America stands for, answering ” yes” to these questions is a show of rejection and hate for the “real” America. The declaration that MAGA and Trump represent the true America is ” fake news” spread by the cult. In a constitutional democracy, no one is above the law. Supporting lawlessness for the sake of power and greed is not a sign of loving in America.
DEMOCRATS ARE NOT PERFECT. HOWEVER, AS A PARTY, THEY GOVERN BY FOLLOWING THE RULE OF LAW. THEY BELIEVE IN PROTECTING HUMAN RIGHTS, OF BUILDING THE MIDDLE CLASS, OPPOSING CORRUPTION, BELIEVING IN THE SEPARATION OF POWERS, AND REJECT AUTOCRACY. THESE BELIEFS GUIDE HOW THEY SHOW THE 0LOVE THEY HAVE FOR AMERICA. THE MAGA DEFINITION OF AMERICA IS UN- AMERICAN.
The challenge for non-MAGA Republicans is to aggressively oppose Trump and his autocratic movement. There will be political repercussions; However, they contributed to the growth of the MAGA takeover of their party and the damage done to our democracy and values. Real Republicans owe this recovery effort to America, whatever the pain and losses they may suffer.
No Kings, No Felons, No Protecting Pedophiles, No illegal wars, No illegal tariffs, No concentration camps, No War on poverty, No misogyny, No abuse of power, No racism, No cruelty, No grifting, No attack on free speech, and No violent abuse of the military. RECOVER AMERICA.
