Social policies: Promoted socially conservative policies, including restricting LGBTQ+ rights, redefining marriage as between one man and one woman, and restricting content on LGBTQ+ topics in schools.
Anti-immigration policies: Enforced a strict anti-migration stance, focusing on protecting Hungary’s cultural identity and promoting immigration opposition. Goal: Christian nationalism.
Excessive executive power-

Restricted media independence: Overhauled the Constitution- Critics noted a systematic dismantling of democratic checks and balances, leading to an erosion of media independence, judicial oversight, and a skewed electoral system that heavily favors his ruling Fidesz party.
Corrupt influence on elections:
Electoral System Manipulation: Electoral laws were rewritten, such as reducing the parliament size and gerrymandering districts to ensure consistent victories for his Fidesz party.
Prioritized close ties with China and Russia: Goal was to strengthen his nationalist and economic agenda with non- liberal powers who opposed the EU.
“Unorthodox” economic system:
Orbanomics created a system of cronyism, undermined independent institutions, and led to long-term structural weaknesses, such as low investment in education and healthcare. As of 2026, the model has faced challenges with high inflation and excessive budget deficits.
Donald Trump and JD Vance outwardly embrace, praise, and emulate autocrats and dictators like Orban and Putin. With control of Congress and the Supreme Court, Trump’s governing has hurt the average American economically, medically, and socially while enriching the 1% rich American oligarchs. Trump’s economic policies have increased the power that the rich have over our elections, the media, education, the economy, and individual freedoms. Autocrats, like Trump, become extremely rich while in office. THAT IS DANGEROUS CORRUPTION. THAT IS THE AMERICA THAT THE CURRENT REPUBLICAN PARTY HAS CREATED.
Victor Orban’s defeat marks the latest global rejection of authoritarianism. Americans are realizing that autocrats promise everything and deliver nothing, except to themselves and their rich, corrupt accomplices.
Another sign that MAGA is dying is that Trump-endorsed candidates keep losing elections. Additionally, his mental stability is in question, and his irrational, impulsive, unlawful actions are concerning the masses of American Democrats, Republicans, and MAGA voters. The Republican Congress continues to choose party over country and in doing so is complicit in the carnage created by their choice of a president.
LET’S BE INSPIRED BY THE BRAVE PEOPLE OF HUNGARY WHO BANNED TOGETHER AND TOOK BACK THEIR DEMOCRACY FROM TRUMP’S AUTOCRATIC HERO, THE LANDSLIDE-DEFEATED VICTOR ORBAN.
