The shame he feels about himself is so bad, it could not be healed even by being elected President of the United States. Trying to destroy Obama’s legacy is his attempt to feel like a winner.
He reveals over and over again in his own words that he is a crook, criminal, and cheat.

HE HAS DAMAGED OUR STANDING, REPUTATION, AND TRUST WITH ALLIES. THERE IS NOTHING GREAT ABOUT THAT.
