Donald Trump and Ken Paxton have been holding a series of rallies on Tuesday in Texas to try to stop the bleeding and prevent James Talarico from becoming the first Democrat to be elected statewide in Texas by flipping a US Senate seat.
Trump and Paxton were a nightmare for Republican hopes in Texas.
Here was Trump’s message on affordability:
You could even come to Mar-a-Lago. I said it the other night. You’ll be my guest at Mar-a-Lago. The problem is that for $5,000 the most you’ll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I’m not even sure you could buy that! No, don’t go there. It’s not a good place if you’re price-conscious.
That was Trump’s message on costs and affordability in Corpus Christi.
When Trump wasn’t telling non-billionaires to go F themselves, he was making deranged claims about James Talarico.
In Lubbock, the president said Talarico would:
Confiscate your guns and stop all ammunition sales. As your Senator, Ken Paxton will have only one thing to say to any Democrat who wants to destroy your Second Amendment. It’s called, “Go take a hike. Go take a hike” The term he uses. He uses that term often, I think.
