I’m a huge fan of the FX series The Americans, and Matthew Rhys was a big part if it. He won an Emmy for that series in 2018. His wife, Kerri Russell, was also magnificent in her role, and she continues her winning streak with The Diplomat.
Last night at The Emmys, Rhys won Best Lead Actor in a Limited Series for his performance in The Beast In Me. A high-quality thriller on Netflix.
To top off his night, Rhys won Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Mayor Tom Loftis in the first season of Widow’s Bay. Billed as a comedy on Apple TV, Widow’s Bay won the night by winning 14 Emmys.
