Petey Hegseth will probably need his Mommywife to help him cope with this now-public news: According to MS Now, “the number of service members seeking a formal discharge from the military as conscientious objectors has skyrocketed, according to two groups that help them file their applications.”
The evidence suggests that Hegseth’s shocking mismanagement and illegal orders have caused this wave of crises of conscience. MS Now spoke to five troops who have started the process to become conscientious objectors. “The reasons they cited for changing their beliefs since they joined included being ordered to violate international law, seeing the civilian death toll as a result of American military interventions surge and their concerns over extended deployments with no clear mission or strategy.”
Pentagon reporter Priya Sridhar said that one such troop, deployed in Trump’s needless war against Iran, told her “they believe that they were asked to target and bomb civilian infrastructure, which is a violation of international humanitarian law.” Two others, deployed in Hegseth’s boat strike assassinations that have killed about 210 people, told her “they didn’t believe there was enough intelligence or justification to show that the people who were on those boats were, in fact, narco terrorists, and not just innocent fishermen.”
That’s not counting the horrible conditions Hegseth has foisted on the troops aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. When those conditions came to light, Hegseth tried to cover them up and President Draft Dodger tried to dismiss them as a hoax. What a wild coinky dink, though, that soon thereafter, the Navy announced an end to that deployment.
Pete Hegseth was obviously unqualified and unfit for his job. Donald Trump should never have nominated him, the Senate should never have confirmed him and he should be ousted, along with Mommywife Jennifer. Now.
