THE OPPOSITION TO THE TRUMP ATTACK ON THE RULE OF LAW FEELS WEAK. WHY? BECAUSE THERE IS MORE TALK BY PUNDITS HAPPENING THAN THERE IS VISIBLE ACTIONS BEING TAKEN TO TOPPLE THIS ANTI- DEMOCRACY REGIME. THERE ARE MANY CASES AGAINST TRUMP’S CORRUPTION BEING PURSUED IN THE COURTS, AND THAT’S GREAT. HOWEVER, THOSE CASES ARE SLOWLY GRINDING THROUGH A LEGAL SYSTEM THAT IS SO SLOW THAT IT ENABLES, NOT STOPS, THE DAMAGE BEING DONE TO OUR DEMOCRACY.
THE KILLERS OF ALEX PRETTI AND RENEE GOOD ARE NOT ONLY NOT UNDER ARREST, BUT ADDITIONALLY, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS WITHHOLDING EVIDENCE TO BLOCK INVESTIGATIONS BY THE STATE INTO THE SHOOTINGS. WHY ISN’T THE MINNESOTA GOVERNOR AND STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL TAKING ACTION ON THE INFORMATION THEY ALREADY HAVE? WHY ARE STATES ALLOWING THEMSELVES TO BE NEUTERED IN REACTION TO TRUMP AND ICE’S NON-TRANSPARENCY?
THE TRUMP GOVERNMENT IS KILLING US, STARVING US, BANKRUPTING, AND WEAKENING US WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE LEGAL BUREAUCRACY TO TREAT THIS COUP LIKE THE EMERGENCY IT IS. WE CANNOT WAIT FOR THE COURTS. CITIZENS AND PRO- DEMOCRACY MOVEMENTS ORGANIZATIONS HAVE TO ORGANIZE AND GROW BIGGER MORE FREQUENT PROTESTS BEFORE THE MIDTERMS.
We, the people, have ideas for stepping up the opposition. Getting to vote every four years has proven to be an inadequate way to empower people to kill corruption before it kills us and our freedoms. Opposing this corrupt government requires bold, not conservative, traditional standards of opposition strategies.
● Introduce legislation to expand the power of the vote by holding yearly votes of whether to continue the terms of elected officials who have violated the Constitution or been credibly accused of corruption
● Hold massive, ongoing, national protests to impeach, remove, or prosecute Trump and members of his administration. GO BEYOND NO KINGS DEMONSTRATIONS.
● Reduce the amount of time off that members Congress and the Supreme Court are afforded.
● Bring forth legislation to eliminate the tolerance of lying, grifting, and insider trading of elected politicians
● Develop and distribute data on actions Trump has taken that are not protected by the Supreme Court immunity ruling and initiate legal action against him. IGNORE THE PRECEDENT THAT A SITTING PRECEDENT CANNOT BE PROSECUTED. IGNORE THAT THE COURTS MIGHT BLOCK THE ACTION. MAKE AMERICANS AND TRUMP AWARE OF THE LIMITS OF THE IMMUNITY RULING.
● Liberal and independent media outlets should dedicate a nightly segment going through portions of the Epstein files and declaring at the end of each segment, “Until Trump releases all of the unredacted Epstein files, we will have to assume he is hiding wrongdoing on his part.”
The opposition must amp up. Trump and his Cabinet are going rogue on our Constitution and values and have damaged our freedoms, finances, futures, and foreign relations. The midterms are coming and we have to clarify that America is ready to bring about regime change.
