Hair Füror and the USPS are still trying to block mail-in ballots from states that refuse to release lists of voters to the government. Mostly Blue states, ’natch.
As we’ve endlessly noted, those efforts are tied up in court, and even if somehow the 4th Reich gets what it wants (unlikely ever, and certainly not for the 2026 Pie Fight) it’s unlikely to work in their favor.
So here’s what is new and why MPS is writing about it AGAIN: a whistleblower at USPS sent a 20-page letter to Sen. Richard Blumenthal, and Blumenthal released it publicly.
What we learned is that the system kludge that the USPS put together to vet mail-in ballots is exactly the shitshow that we thought it would be, and the letter itself used “shitshow” to described it, so we officially have a new word in the Senate transcripts. Lindsey Graham is pearl-clutching where’re he is.
The USPS scheme is designed to depress turnout. Judges will note that it’s possible that an entire barrel full of apples would be thrown out because one is spoiled an entire tranche of valid votes would be thrown out if one single ballot has a problem. That’s not a bug, that’s the design.
No judge will sign off on this crap sandwich.
The 4th Reich is incompetent. They have been trying to eff with elections since 2018, and have never had any success; I think they’ve lost 60+ court cases so far because they have not found any evidence of their election fraud claims.
I don’t think that the legality of the USPS’ scheme can be worked out before the first ballots go out THIS FRIDAY, and they probably never will be worked out because it is totally unlawful. Judges, even the justices on John Roberts corrupt and illegitimate SCOTUS know that The Executive Branch has no role in elections.
Lastly, there’s no reason to believe that eff’ing with mail-in ballots will help the GOP. Urban voters —read Democrats— would skip mail-in voting and vote in person on Election Day if they haven’t gotten proof of receipt of their absentee ballot. Possum Hollar can’t exercise either of those options. They are totally eff’ed in the dark.
